I expect because I am a Midlands girl and was brought up about as far from the sea as it's possible to be the fact that I can go to the beach or the cliffs in a 30 minute drive is so special to me. Some days wandering the lanes just isn't enough, it has to be the sea. The North coast of Devon is  my particular favourite. It's rugged and often bleak especially at this time of year but very appealing non the less. Here are two photos taken on this same morning, the last day of February. Westward Ho! beach and  Appledore.  Whilst walking along the high street I learned that looking in people's windows can be a bit surprising! Two different shots from a very good day.
